Post "Autumn Leaves" - Grand Stick
Hi all,

Been without my rig so I was posting guitar videos for about a week. I managed to get hold of a little practice amp so even though I have no effects or anything, I can at least play amplified and post some more Stick videos.

Today was the first fairly nice sunny day of the season so I went outside and plugged in to play "Autumn Leaves" on my Grand Stick. I had to share the airwaves with some neighboring chain saws but decided to roll with it.

Thanks Brett. Usually I preamp with a couple of Sans Amp units but right now all I have is my little Fishman Loudbox. I have to say though, I think the real star right now is this killer little Shure MV88 mic I picked up for shooting these videos with my iPhone. Andy Salvanos recommended it to me a year or so ago and then Greg started using it for his FB Live lessons. In this particular video, I was sitting outside and I swear that the sound of the resulting video through headphones was better than what my ears were hearing live while I was recording it.

It's still a live mic though so ... nothing I could do about the chain saw :D

I’m with Brett. Killer tone!! And it’s not just the mic: it all starts in your fingers ;)

Really nice. I cut my teeth on this as well as many others in The Real Book (when you had to buy it in a plain brown wrapper in the middle of the night in a questionable part of town). By coincidence, last night on PBS they were doing a 50's show and they had Roger Williams doing a live performance. What a Hotdog! Took all the nuance out of it and just played it for thrills.
