Good things happen when you're playing with new stuff No Stick in this one but I'd just picked up the new Arturia V Collection 6 and was playing with their piano which is new to me. Very nice sound and when I ran it through my Valhalla reverbs, it was like heaven so I just played it for hours. Next thing you know I started trying some looped piano and a day later, I fired up Logic and recorded this piece. |

Nice sound on that piano and with the reverb, Glenn. Also enjoyed the composition and the playing. Thanks for sharing this! |

Very nice, Glenn. Love the tone and playing. Can you share which of the Valhalla verbs you were using? I assume I hear Shimmer and Freq Echo but may be wrong... If you like those big ambient piano washes as much as I do, download Audio Damage's EOS Reverb and try the "This Budds For You" preset. That's my go-to for this type of space. Best Karma |

Thanks guys! That's 100% Valhalla Shimmer. I was in a guitar workshop a few years back and Billy McLaughlin talked a lot about "playing your reverb". In other words, paying attention to it and letting it sing. Given the option, I would always prefer my acoustic piano over software but it sure is nice to occasionally pipe that sound through some really nice effects. It just gives it a whole different dimension. |

Sounds Amazing Glen! Arturia rocks, I have their Yamaha CS80 app thats much fun but limited only to very "electronic sounds". I'd love to add that collection to my pro tools! |

Yeah I love the Arturia stuff. I had the V Collection version 2 which didn't have near the instruments version 6 has. It's funny too. I love old synths and I was literally a heartbeat away from pulling the trigger on the purchase of re-issue Minimoog Model D. I was really having a hard time justifying the expense for a monophonic synth with no patch memory though. They sound amazing and are a little piece of history but still. So at the last minute I opted to spend a small fraction instead and pick up the V Collection 6. 21 instruments instead of 1 and still a nice Minimoog to play with. |
