Re: Stick Tune - Megalith (Original)
Took me a bit longer to get to a place to rock it out. (And some political stuff happened here in the Americas this morning that got the colonists all riled up. )

That first part after the intervallic tapping lick reminds me of Californication

Nah man don't get it twisted, I fucking love that song
I see that same Californication feel in some of the verses, and like Josh, that's also a pretty fucking good thing. But I read Josh's impressions before I was able to form my own, so maybe I would have had a different impression. Doesn't matter; Josh has good taste and the tune rocks.

thought I'd see if I couldn't add some "guitaristic" tapping in there as well, whattaya know, I can!
That was what immediately caught my attention. Tapping on a 6-string and doing it "rock style" (whatever that means) has a different flavor and feel to most Stick tapping. I don't think I can articulate the difference, but I immediately thought of some of the tapping sections as very "guitar-like" in the tapping style. I liked all that guitary tappy arpeggiating and runs.
Bass side: I dug the basslines and I really thought I could get my head around what you were doing and mostly how. Hummable bass lines in general.
I also like the finish and especially the title. "Megalith" is an awesome name for a righteous tune but 1:22 is not enough to warrant such a title. There's only some many good song titles in the world, man! (I find naming shit is way harder than making it, but equally enjoyable when a name rocks.)
I am the Cisco Ramone (CW Flash reference) of naming stuff. "Megalith" is awesome but it needs about 11 more minutes to justify the name. And a flute solo or 3.
Nah, I keed, but seriously, Moh-AR!
