Post Tap Theory - Vivace
Hey everyone, I've got another beginner arrangement for this week. This excerpt from Ferdinando Carulli's Vivace is a great example of switching between single notes and double stops smoothly, as well as an opportunity for newer Stick players to work on the smoothness of their phrasing. As always, tabs and a performance breakdown are available at http://www.patreon.com/jgoldbergmusic. Enjoy!

I, thought this was absolutely fantastic. I have played this one on guitar since I was, like 6 or 7 years old and y'know.... ever since I got a Stick, I thought it would be a cool one to try out on that instrument. Well executed, nice tone...

My only complaint is that I am UTTERLY FUCKING FLABBERGASTED THAT NOBODY COMMENTED ON THIS...

Very nice, I'd love to see the "notation only" score for this one...

Sorry, Josh! I must have missed this one. Nice little tune--sounds made for harpsichord. A nice legato feel would be crucial for this, and no one had to worry about dynamics, since there weren't any dynamics for that old keyboard music because every plucked note was the same. Until the invention of the device that could go soft and then loud, or piano-forte, or the piano.

That's my Cliff Claven fact of the day. Sorry--love that old harpsichord music but hate the sound of the harpsichord. Doing it on the Stick seems the best way to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing!

Adds: or it could have been guitar music altogether. I should have read the part about the doublestops. But I still like the sound of this old classical or proto-classical music on the Stick.
