Roli Lightpad block? Is that a MIDI controller?

Yeah, it’s really REALLY cool. I tried hard to resist getting one, but then Steve (Paigan0) got one and made up some riffs, and then I HAD to have one... Now I can do something like those cool Derek Sherinian/Jordan Rudess/Jens Johansen type synth solos...
Really fun, don’t get one! :D

Ahahaha nice! Is it like, touch pad style where you're controlling everything on an X/Y axis? My friend has a Kaos pad and it's basically that, one of the coolest MIDI controllers I've ever seen aside from maybe the Seaboard.

Rob (Jzzb8ovn) got me hooked on it after he started using it for ambient background stuff to Stick over in a live setting.

I got Scott turned on to it. It's fun and I feel like I could play around with it and do quite a lot with it.

And then I paired a Roli little silicone soft keyboard with it:

I'm not excited by the keyboard. The Lightpad is pretty exciting though!

Cheers, Josh!

Jeez I did NOT realize modular MIDI controllers were a thing now, that's crazy! I totally get why you guys got them.

Lol I fought it, but Steve's tunes totally convinced me haha I had to get 'em. I am still awaiting the keyboard controller. Loving the lightpad, though!
