Also, I'd like to say too that one thing that's helped a lot is that I try to apply as many different (LH) accompaniment options as possible to a tune when I learn it. About 8 variations actually; it seems to really help get the chord progression to 'Stick' if you know what I mean, haha :D Plus it kind of helps me personalize the respective tune I'm working on...

speaking of 8 different ways to play an accompaniment i always wanted some one to do a video of their favourite bass accompaniment patterns. That would help us learn and utilize. Maybe we could start a thread asking for videos of different accompaniment patterns

Yeah, that would be pretty cool! I have 8 sequences that I am practicing this year, I hope to have 8 more next year, 8 more the year after, etc, etc and it would be cool to have some more ideas to borrow/steal haha
I currently swipe from Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, Geddy Lee and Les Claypool (their easy stuff) whenever I can!

Here's a Dixieland version of All of Me. Some unusual scenes in a car wash

The walking bass in the song sounds like it would work with a stick.

Yes, quite the car wash, I guess that's how things get done in some places, eh? I have a kind of "walking bass" version I'm working on, it's not quite ready for presentation yet, but soon... Of course, my walking bass version won't be too good hahaha
