Fine post from the D-Bro, feeling pangs of minor guilt looking at my Alto which I know will transform with a new set, which I have sitting on the shelf. Changing strings on the others has not been painful , more so the 90 $ a set landed into Australia , so I dont do it too often :D

Nice post, DBro, although I'd like to point out that when in the middle of Interlochen Stick seminar, my DBro-patented Holder broke into two pieces, and I had to rig up a flexible camera mount as a Holder replacement, I could then blame every mistake I made on my broken holder and my rigged-up, MacGyver-ed camera-mount Lap-Dog imitator. I had already put new strings on all the Sticks, so I needed a new scapegoat to blame. I gave away my other two Holders, and now had none. :( Or rather, I had two pieces of my last one.

And then just yesterday, Jim Todd (he just lurks on Stickist) gave me a new holder he made for me of maple and mahagony by using the pieces of the old one as a template. It's beautiful and I'll post a picture later! And I now have a DBro Holder again and no excuse for not rocking it out!

New David Brosky "DBro Holder" for playing Chapman Stick seated. Made from maple and mahogany by Jim Todd. Sprayed with spall urethane by me. It's all purty and rounded and professional looking. Looks great with all the Sticks. Thanks, Jim and DBro!

in case anyone missed it, here is the original post of how to make the "Holder" with the video and pdf files. NO STICKS were harmed in the making of this video- my Polycarb fell into a huge pile of comforters and the noise effect (a very large chord at the 1st fret and a tympani sample) were added later. About $5 USD and a little time to make.

hope it helps,
Dave B "DBro"
