Parkinson's Law: "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion"
In other words the suit you gotta do will take the amount of time that you give it, so want stuff done quick, give yourself short deadlines.
At college I would be given an essay or research to do, due in at the end of a semester. Months away. The outcome never did anything all term and nailed it in the weekend before it was due in.

That said, Music can be different. One might get notes down quick but the message one sends with them, or the meaning behind what one plays often takes significant time to truly establish.

Respect to you Scott for the effort and work you put into the Stick.

Oh, this is so true. Annihilating timeframes has been a major objective for me, and getting to a point where I can play some music without days/weeks/months of preparation was a major goal.

For sure, the "meaning" behind these particular notes may not be there just yet. I mean, nobody is going to mistake me for the Stick version of Nicolo Paganini, and nor am I sharing these works to showcase a "brilliant" performance; I am intimately aware of the shortcomings, but share it as a sort of "snapshot" in an effort to get a dialogue about music going...

More to come...
