I'm happy to be introducing the Jam Session Series! This series will feature arrangements of various parts of the rhythm section and band for famous songs that you might play at a jam session or cover gig. As usual, you can find the tabs and performance breakdown at http://www.patreon.com/jgoldbergmusic.
I'm getting my repertoire up for a wedding band that I'll begin playing with in September, and I'll be making some of these songs I'm learning work double duty by performing them for you guys in the same way I would at the gig, as well as sharing my arrangements. These arrangements are designed to have you sitting right in with a band of any size. As I'll be bass+ in this group, these arrangements all start at the bass and many have parts that you can add on top should there be room in the band for it.
I often talk about the Stick being a musical swiss army knife, but I feel as though I have yet to really demonstrate that on Tap Theory. I've been focussed largely on solo playing and theoretical and technical discussions. I've talked a lot about how the Stick can fit like a chameleon in a band, and now I want to show it. First up, Bruno Mars's Locked Out Of Heaven. Enjoy!
