Post Bob's "Guitar"
I watched this video again recently, and I just want to say I think it's the best overall video musical statement featuring The Stick there is. The arrangement, the playing, the sound, all excellent.

Kudos to Bob.

Yep I have to agree. Great performance of a great arrangement of a great song by a great musician on a great instrument. That one video has done more to put the Stick on the map in the last couple years than anything I can think of. It went viral there for about a year but I still get it frequently on Facebook feeds from non-musicians saying "hey - dig this cool new instrument. I've never seen it before." If people have seen nothing else about Stick - they've seen that. Thanx Bob.

Indeed, me too. This is what I show people when they ask what a Chapman Stick is. This is what originally blew me away, and continues to do so every time I see it.

Kudos to Ambassador of Stick, Bob Culbertson.

Post Re: Bob's "Guitar"
I remember Bob saying onstage the last time both of you were at Interlochen, that the place reminded him of a "Hogwarts school for Music" :) Using the same Harry Potter reference, I've found after Bob posted this vid, many of the "muggles" started sharing this vid on Facebook. I had never shared it at the time, but many of my personal and cycling friends somehow found it and started sharing, most of whom don't even play a musical instrument. All I can figure is they saw I've got one and started researching it and that vid showed up at the top of their internet searches.

This vid is definitely one that's brought the Chapman Stick into public view, I'd definitely vote as being one of the most significant Stick vids that has reached non-musicians.

Another one that reached a few muggles was "Tomorrow Never Knows" which was a rare thing to see in the Auditorium at Interlochen, by Greg Howard.. Lots of love for the Beatles still, goes to show a good Beatles cover on Stick will go a long way outside our happy little community.
