My Independence post had lots of great responses and thats all coming along nicely. But as Greg mentioned "dependence " is just as valid. After a completely"shit"#¤ty" day at sea I thought it time for another one hour record and post challenge. There's no real hand independence in this, more about hand dependence and "The Opposite of Angry" seemed appropriate, I normally play it on the standard. Turns out it works on the Alto and its pretty simple but more about time, space and feel I guess. Anyway here it is. Best served relaxed and with headphones and Gin.

Sitting in a chair at Munich airport and it put a smile on my face. Just plain beautiful. As is life. Thank you [emoji4]

Really nice, Bruce! I love your playing, this was an inspiring little bit to listen to. As for the crappy day at sea, well hopefully those don't happen too often. Rock on!

Gonna check it out tonight when I get home, Bruce. Sorry about the crappy day at sea.

Hey, if you happen to see a US aircraft carrier, I think we lost one in one of the oceans of the planet! It's either going to Korea or to Australia for maneuvers but we don't seem to know which one, yet. Maybe give them a point in the direction of North Korea if they do pass by lost.... :D

Love that alto and I'll be checking it out later, Bruce! Thanks!

Clever to write in Sea sharp minor. Very contemplative feel.
Good arrangement

Now that's the shit! (Sorry, it's also 4-20 Day!) Puts on Bruce's new tune:

Very nice stereo separation in the two sides. Ah, that's why you said use headphones. Well, the effect was just fine on the studio speakers. It really feels like two separate instruments. And you say you don't have hand independence? I felt like you had two distinct voicings that combined to make one cohesive whole, like any good piece that's an instrumental duet--or a song played 2-handedly on a Chapman Stick!

Very nice tune here, Bruce. The ocean sounds make it even better. And I was hoping for some of them patent-pending Pirate-Bruce-String-Benders and I was not disappointed. Indeed, you ended on a doozy.

Good stuff here, sir. I hope your sea days are high and dry! I had to make a substitute on the gin  , but the recipe for chill was pretty easy to follow. Cheers!

Thanks Bruce. Beautiful.
I worked the cruiseships years ago, granted I was playing in the orchestra so 'work' was subjective term but I know what a crappy day at sea is like, so I send my best wishes. That was lovely though, a great way to put it behind you.
Do you mind me asking how you recorded it with what interface/DAW? You get such a beautiful sound. I'm just getting started with Logic and can't get anything I like yet.

Thanks, and thanks!

Paul
