Hi folks
My challenge today apart from working for 13 hours was to do a new take of Motorised, upload to to SoundCloud and Stickist all in an hour. This continues to evolve a bit , if I had a video camera other than my iPhone I was going to make a movie and ask for comment since my compositional skills are on another ship I think!
So coming to you from the middle of the Ocean somewhere near Australia is the latest take on this piece. I actually quite like to play it at open nights either on the Alto or Grand as a test to keep the left hand motoring whilst thinking of things to do with the other, good fun. Cheers . B

A very nice technique to keep the drive going (Motorised--I get it now) and then let you noodle all you want.

I liked this a lot. Very melodic in places, very "hooky" in others. You still have the best bends in Stickland.

Maybe a big finish? You need something to end on rather than the fade out (especially live, I'd imagine). But it's still fine and I bet it's different every time and looks and sounds killer live!

Great little tune and sound, Bruce!

Nice RH techniques! At this step, I think it qualifies as a "paradiddle". It needs more fleshing out. More parts! More parts!

Thanks Steve/Daniel
Common problem for me at present , I have a few like this , idea gets worked up a bit, but not really finished as a Complete piece, " more parts" sounds like good advice, I'll see what I can do. :D

Some times less is more. I hate to sound cliche but I have had several moments in my life where after spending a week trying to come up with the perfect additional part to a new tune I was really enjoying, I just woke up one morning and realized that the tune was done as is. Adding parts is great as long as you're doing it for the right reasons ;)

I digress a little but I had a studio for some years and that reminded me of the mixdowns that seemed like they might never end. At some point someone had to say, thats it, its done, set it free, or we could keep tweaking forever.

Very nice tune. Love your playing. How about a modulation for a B section?

Cool! Reminds me of '60's spy movie spoofs (been watching too many Matt Helm movies). I go with Glenn I think it's good the way it is. "Nice Little Dittie"...
