Hola Amigos! Well, it has been like being born again, new city, new people, new air.. Wrocław is a wonderful city... and the polish language!! The way is slow, I don't have too many contacts like in chile but I'm working on it, anyway, I've had lot of time for practising and improve that little details that makes a good interpretation. We are preparing the "Stick and Bass Tour July 2017" with my friend Mauricio, an ambitious tour by several cities on Europe showing this particular mix between both instruments. Uf! As I say I'm full of "musical office work here". Besides to write what is happening, I'd like to show you a couple of videos.. the first one is my last arrangement, playing a song of the chilean band "Los Jaivas", for us the meaning of the song is more important than the instrument that is sounding (You know, about chile in the 70s ..is one of the possible meanings of the tune) The second one is an arrangement for stick and bass of "La Partida" (Victor Jara) we played with Mauricio on November last year. Wow, seeing Stick against electric bass, and what a great tune. Both tunes were awesome, but that second one really rocked! Strumming! Thanks so much for sharing that, Tomas! Best of luck in Poland! |
