Rodin I'm using classic tuning and yes that is a swr sm400. Part of Greg's rig, great sound.

I'd post about how awesome that was, but at the moment I can't...I'm too busy writing an ebay listing.

Brett, you have the bass vocabulary to pull this off like no one else. It was a pleasure to hook you up with Garrett. He's the real deal as well. Cheers!

Re: VIDEO: Brett tears it up at Stick Night
Brett takes up the challenge. Probably had to go thru Marine training to get there. But there he is, arrived and hard at work yet confident, even comfortable with the blistering pace set by the young drummer Garrett Moore, who is equally comfortable in the subtle subdivisions of a straight-out jazz 4/4.
I know this format well and all the honest "ethic" is there - the unassuming head arrangement, the steady walking bass, extended 16th note improvs, guitar type chordal vamps and blips, trading fours "on the money" with drums, no fancy effects. Yuta and I have heard a lot of jazz and we both enjoyed this!
The only differences, no guitar, no upright bass, just an integral mind meld of two excellent jazz musicians who can play a world of music within the genre.

I really love the thumbnail YouTube picked for this video. I couldn't have done better myself...
He's into it!
