360° Fractal Animation Music Video
360° Fractal Animation Music Video
Presenting: "A Monstrous Thing of 360° Beauty," a 3D fractal animation music video with original music from Steve Sink and Scott Kerr (SINKERR) and a 360° vista from Mandelbulber. 7200 frames of 6000 by 3000 rendered video, a total of 54 GBs, compressed down to a 3.5 GB file at YouTube. Please enjoy!
You can actually mouse around and change the camera view, while the video is still running! For maximum awesomeness, go to YouTube and hit full screen and crank up the resolution until your modem says ouch! I thought this was too awesome to hide away in the lounge. And this song is as Stickey as they come! Railboard and 12-string Grand in the house rocking it out!
A Rock Instru-Metal done by Chapman Stick enthusiasts Steve Sink and Scott Kerr (SINKERR). Progressive rock to melt even the stiffest of faces!
I think the word is "heterodyne". Lots of sensory input!

Re: 360° Fractal Animation Music Video
Thanks, everyone! I was just really excited by this one. I've only seen one other 360° fractal video before, although I've seen some 360° biking videos that Steve Balogh (MichNS) makes.
I think the Ultimate Fighting matches are filmed in 360°. And then car companies have 360° apps to let you look around new cars. But they are static images, as opposed to running film.
Cool stuff, although almost 100 GB a video, by the time the files are all compiled. And I didn't add watermarks and a title screen to this because I can't actually edit this video and make type appear correctly in Equilateral Projection. That'll be the next nut to crack!
