Yeah, I'm not old enough to have heard this on the radio. I did think it was mainly well done, though.

I listened to rock & roll including Smokey's 1st record "Shop Around" on a console tube radio for several years before there was such a thing as a transistor radio. My dad bought me a Panasonic transistor radio about the size of a pack of smokes when I was 15 in 1962. I was playing gigs the next year 1963.
