Post subject:  "Play all" feature on Showcase?
Hi Manny. I was listening to some of the posts on the Showcase page and wondered if there was a way to just play them all back to back without having to keep going to the computer and clicking on the next one. Sort of like the "play all" button on youtube or something?

I don't think so, but let me look into this and see if I can find some way to do a playlist of sorts.

Hey, I think that John, Mike and Manny are on to something here. I have created chapmanstickacademy@gmail.com, the password is Rosewood1. We can all post videos there, I don't see why it should be locked down, just so long as we agree that this channel is an instructional channel, a channel for sharing videos that pertain to the Chapman Stick and Free Hands technique.

If anyone wants to do some fancy design work on it, have at. I'm just shooting from the hip here, so if anyone has something they want to add, go for it. :D

A shared youtube account could work, this community is very "clean" so I don't think the channel will gather too much trash. There are 2 potential problems:
1) The password cannot be public, I'm thinking something like a distribution via PM to registered users, after a couple of weeks of registration + a few post (to avoid the recurring spammers that register here).
2) Youtube will get an alert when 2 users log at the same time (low probability) and from different locations (100% hit).

Maybe this is a good scenario for Google; I think we could explain the situation / needs and see what they proposed as a solution; many forums could benefit with a feature like this.

Having a shared channel would allow us to post videos to a single source. As Mike mentioned in his initial post, one could select the "Play All" feature and see the most recent videos without having to miss one embedded in a stickist forum.

Would Manny ever consider adding a videos section?

Hey Guys - I just got an excellent idea! Why not creating a Stick SoundCloud Group!!!!

I'm a member of two SouncCloud Groups and as a group member I can play my group as a "play all" playlist. And on my iPhone I have the very nice SoundCloud App, so in the morning I wake up, reach out one arm to grab the iPhone, open my eyes, touch up the SoundCloud app and start a playlist. After that I can safely go to the bathroom to shave etc. Just need to crank the iPhone while in the shower, but except for that minor issue I think a Stick SoundCloud Group would be great. Those who joins the group can post tracks, from their own SoundCloud accounts, and on the grop page all tracks line up as a huge playlist. Don't know exactly as I'm typing this how to proceed but I guess there is a Create A Group FAQ somewhere at SoundCloud.

Oh, and there is in fact a good side of not having a playlist here in the forum since it would get into the way of browsing around to read different threads. If not someone programs a free floating player for this forum, but that might be complicated.

I checked and there is already a Stick group moderated by Ricardo Mendes on SoundCloud. I listened around a bit and the uploaded tracks so far form a nice and varied playlist.

My test attempt to submit one track seemed to work out well.
