Post subject:  Gallery now live
The Gallery area is now up and running. Registered users can upload photos into the Users Photos album.

Looking forward to everyone re-populating this album!

Manny how do we go about uploading the photos?

It looks like you need to register for the gallery separately. I just registered and then you have to click on the User Album. Then on the left menu there is a "Add Item" link. I have one picture uploaded already.

Yep, EricTheGray has it correct.

Some of the site features are using separate databases, thus requiring separate registrations/logins.

TIP: Register with and use the same username/password across different site features requiring such.

The old site had everything integrated into 1 database. Very convenient...but the server had a catastrophic failure and the single database for the site was corrupted, along with its backup.

So, I opted to have separated databases when I can; inconvenient but best to not have all assets in one place. I'm still going to try and see if I can pull anything out of the old database, lots of great content there. I'm awaiting a forensic computer buddy of mine to return from the holidays for his attempts to recover.

The good thing: the server failure/crash occurred during the Xmas holidays so I had time to resurrect the site.

I registered for the Gallery several days ago but did not receive the
confirmation Email to Sign in.

I also Emailed Manny but have got no Response. :(

Manny changed the forum so that you didn't need the email for registration confirmation. The gallery is a separate web application and I wonder if he changed that too. I know that I am no longer getting any email notifications of posts. I suspect that his sites can't send email for some reason. He should get back to you soon, he doesn't ignore email if he got it.
