The last week or so a handful of users have experienced IP Blocking by Spamhaus and not allowing posting here. It's a Spamhaus problem and some folks have told me their problem disappeared after a short while to after a day. If you are experiencing persistent issues with Spamhaus, PM me and there may be a workaround.

Glad to see my bypass is working. A temporary solution until I figure out what happened with Spamhaus and it's integration with this site.

A little behind the scenes, I have an every morning routine with coffee dealing with spam accounts and their registrations. I'm typically deleting about 5-10 new accounts a day, and at times during a surge, around 20-30 a day. New user registration is via Admin approval due to this; I've gotten pretty good at spotting fake email addy's. Every now and then I'll turn off new user registration in efforts to thwart the overseas cheap labor spammers and their cold/warm list of sites to register onto.

I've been pruning users for quite a few years (10+ years); I can comfortably say, definitely over 85%, more closer to 95%, of the user accounts on this site are valid users and not spam accounts.

I've had this on a couple of occasions & as you say it's "just gone away" after a while.
Last time I posted on this connection I got 'hit', so this is a test to see if it's "just gone" again?

If this post isn't blocked & you get to see it, are you saying above that PM to you will still work even if posts to the forum are blocked?

Excellent point. Yes, I have received PM's from folks who had their IP blocked when attempting to post.
