It's doubtful considering the frets in wood/bamboo Sticks need to be leveled after being installed to obtain the best playing surface. And unfortunately I don't think wood would fair well in an anodization bath :P

Well, it was a question, but apparently not an educated question. I suppose if you have to work the frets, they are necessarily soft enough that over time they will need more work.

Stainless steel frets are much harder than the strings we are rubbing on them. Emmett files the frets on the wood and bamboo Sticks with a special file to create the contours. So there's no need to worry about them needing more work over time.

In Italian they say "non ti preocupare"...

But all that said, there's no such thing as a bad idea until you try to implement it, creative thinking is all about "bad ideas"...
