Post Stick Enterprises official account
Hi everyone,

As most of you know, I have dual roles in this community: my own work as a player, composer and teacher on the Stick, and also my promotional work for Stick Enterprises. As a way to help forum members interact with Stick Enterprises more specifically, and to find posts more easily that are directly related to Stick Enterprises activities (news items, technical support questions, promoting other artist's tours and recordings, etc), I've created this separate account.

Greg

I think it should be listed on this page: index.php

Well, since you are now doing this, I have a question:

If the super-industrial railboards are basically impervious to fret wear, is this material being considered as the new metal fret for the wood and bamboo instruments?

Interesting idea. The virtue of the aluminum construction is that it can be machined in it's relatively soft state, including the specific excavation of the frets that go under the thicker strings, and then have the hard coating applied. It's hard to imagine doing this as a substitute for the stainless steel bar stock that SE now uses.

Thanks for all the feedback on this subject from everyone. The consensus seems to be that it's a good idea to have the separate accounts.

Alain, I'm not sure what you meant by your suggestion, except perhaps for a separate sub-forum for posts from Stick Enterprises. I think I'd rather work within the structure that is already here, taking advantage of the categories that are already available.
