Hey friends, Dan Chapman has just shared out his latest round of beautiful graphic design on the FHA site. Lots of great quotes from last year's attendees and instructors. Dan has been an integral component of the FHA since day one, checking out the facility with me, spot-checking schedules and really pushing everyone involved to do their best. His vision for the look and feel of everything we do has been an inspiration. Like his brother, he is intelligent, creative and always striving to improve his craft.

If you've seen his work-in-progress documentary "Emmett", you'd know right away he shares that same passion for the instrument. I am already looking forward to his showing of "Emmett" this year and expect we'll see Stickists that are again moved to tears seeing how much the Chapman Family has contributed to the forward progress of this new and expressive way to play music.

I started my documentary at the World Stick Seminar, organized by Bob Culbertson. See links below. Emmett and I drove up to San Jose together. It's only fitting that Bob is a featured guest here now in 2014. As well as Steve, Greg and Don who were all featured performers and instructors at the Nov 2003 event. What a group. Has it really been that long?

I had just emailed Gene last week about an idea I had... have Tony Levin Skype in from his event in New York, Three of a Perfect Pair (http://threeofaperfectpair.com), and/or come in for Stick Night and BOOM! this announcement comes through. I imagine that Gene has been working on this for a while but I'm sure the whole stick community has been waiting for this to happen. Has Tony Levin ever been at a Stick seminar ever!?
