Here is a snippet of Chemical Reaction from Gina Ferrera, a track I wrote with Gina and played Stick on.



Gina joined us for the FHA Stick Night last month and did a great job jamming with Steve Adelson, Tom G and myself. Lots of great things coming from this up and coming artist.

This track was my trial run with the HD500X - I used the a-glide preset and had some fun with kicking the left hand up an octave. The Stick was the absolute last thing to get recorded so there was a bit of a rush.

Extremely convenient being able to tap in delay times, edit parameters from within the Line6 Edit software and go direct into the board from the unit with both hands and have total and complete separation.

Thanks Greg - I can't say I was a purist in that there were 2 tracks of Stick there. The first track was the jangly rhythmic section and the second was a lead track, pretty much a first take - it was literally driven down to SD for mastering shortly after the session.

Since the rest of the track was largely samples, synths and loops, she welcomed some freestyle interplay with the vocals. Hoping there will be more opportunities to create with Gina. Her album should be out in the next few days.
