Ultimate Stick and instruction
TrueFire has been promoting their huge catalogue of tutorial videos with lots of promos, of course including "Ultimate Stick" by yours truly. Numbers have been excellent. Check them out. New Year's reminder, besides this 2DVD set and my Mel Bay book I'm always available for new student inquiries whether live or via Skype. Teaching has always been (4 decades) and remains very gratifying. Email inquiries to SteveAFran@aol.comThanks Steve Adelson

The best way to understand Lee Vatip, a Stickist visionary.
Don't think about it, just grab a copy.

Re: Ultimate Stick and instruction
Just an FYI: If you ordered Steve's DVD back when he made the initial post and it hasn't yet been delivered, you want to contact Truefire. I emailed 'help@truefire.com' today and was told things were held up due to holiday business. They since emailed me letting me know the item shipped today. Randy

Re: Ultimate Stick and instruction
How does it compare to the material that's in the book DVD?

Re: Ultimate Stick and instruction
Biggest difference is length of time. Book DVD is one hour. Truefire double DVD is close to four hours. Obviously covers more subjects but no written text like the book. If you get just one idea from any tutorial item it was a wise investment. My opinion...unlike the guitar or bass universes, The Stick has a very very limited number of educational products. If the student purchased every last one, perhaps the cost would be $200. Seems like a small yet prudent approach considering most have spent 2K-3K on their instrument. Invest in your investment Just my opinion...I could be wrong Steve A

Re: Ultimate Stick and instruction
Would the Ultimate Stick course referenced here be applicable to the tuning on the new railboard?
Thanks in advance! - Doug

Re: Ultimate Stick and instruction
YES! All instruction on the Truefire DVDs and the Mal Bay book/DVD are generically offered. You will have to find your reference points like the root or a particular letter name but the beauty of The Stick is its logical tuning no matter which tuning. Standard or upside down inverted recipricol it's all transferable. This logic is covered in the opening segments of the book or the DVD. Very important concepts for understanding the extreme logic and brolliance of The Stick's layout. I know you will get many "aha" moments from this DVD. Guaranteed Steve A
