The UpTet -1 will be playing in Charlottesville next Friday, June 10th
at C-Ville Coffee (where they also have excellent food, desserts, beer and wine)



This will be the debut of a new Stick for me, based on a new tuning i've been working on for a while (if you want to know what it is, you have to come to the show...but I am severely psyched, stupendously stoked and exhileratedly exhuberant)

I have heard the magic of Darrell and James and Greg together live, and the magic of Gina on flute on video- phenomenal!!!

this IS what live music is all about! - to see Darrell toss shaker bags in mid air cross hands IN TEMPO is worth the price of admission, not to mention the amazing communication between these fabulous musicians which is as Beck aptly said, "Where it's At!"

if you are within 1 hour of drive time of Charlotte ( that's two bad sitcoms back to back) you owe it to yourself to go see them!

And, to Matt's question, its a 12-string Grand but with a tuning that's quite new for me. Already wrote one groove on it and arranged a couple of my usual tunes for it.
