Panther: actually I was just plugged into the PA that Edensong brought, I couldn't get a hold of a local Fishman SA220. It did the job but of course I would have preferred to have the Fishman with me...
Powagoat: the striking thing is harmonics- I'm holding down a couple outer strings with my left hand on one of the first few frets (melody or bass side) then whacking the same strings at higher frets, usually an octave or 5th higher (but you can get a harmonic on almost any fret).
Hope to make it back to the Northeast again soon!
