 2011 Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival - July 14-17 Hi everyone,
I've been invited to perform at the 2011 Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival in Squaw Valley, California. They're asking me to do a workshop as well, so if you're in the area or want to plan a trip, it will be in late October.
Looking forward to my first visit to that part of the world. I hear it's beautiful.

The site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. That whole area is amazing. Been there a few times during the Winter. You'll want to try and take an extra day just to drive around the lake. You'll especially want to check out the area around Emerald Bay.

-mike Hi Mike, I haven't done anything out in California for some time, and haven't taught in the northern part of the state since the San Jose seminar 7 years ago, so hopefully I'll be able to connect with several players during this event. Lots of time to plan.

Re: 2011 Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival - July 14-17 SO, is there going to be a full on Stick seminar too? Northern Cali is really dope, is it near berkeley/S.F? I have some friends there that might wanna go or let me stay at their pad possibly. Doesn't Bob Culbertson live kinda near there? That would be sweet to get something together with him. I had a private lesson with him and it was quite enlightening. Still working on his chord progression concepts.(Heady Stuff)

Workshop structure is still being worked out, depending on how many Stick players are interested. And there will be an opportunity for private lessons as well.
