Post Re: Metheny commentary
Can't say I'm a Kenny G fan ..I like to refer to his music as poodle jazz.
I saw Kenny G in a college town club back in 1977. I was really there to hear Jeff Lorber who was playing keys. It was a fine night of fusion jazz for the most part. Needless to say the guy can play sax. His compositions are well...boring to my ears.

Post Re: Metheny commentary
As I was driving to Interlochen last year, I heard an ad for a Kenny G concert which was going on in the area sponsored by their easy listening station (Glenn could fill in these gaps), and I loved the byline to get people to go to the Kenny G concert....

"where words won't get in the way of the music"

I chuckled and then thought, maybe, just maybe they have something there! :D
