Can U print without just screenshotting it? Tha'd be sick. And you need the stick tone samples bro! What up with that huh ? Oh, I got the full app. Cheers

We are currently working on a completely new version of FretBoard, dropping a lot of the old code to be more flexible in future development. On of our most wanted features is an instrument editor where you can not only edit the tuning of each string, but also change the look of your instrument on screen.
The direct printing option is planned for a later release.
Thanks for your suggestions!
Marc

Forget if I told you that this app rules! I get overwhelmed but thats ok, we can't memorize every scale pattern(or can you)! Nice raps too, maybe you can get a stick tone instead of piano. I know it would be just a sample but it would be sick to hear whatever pattern in a psudo stick tone. Cheers!

As an occasional user, the feature I would like to have is the ability to show just one position of the chord at a time instead of all the frets/strings that could participate in a given chord.

Yea, I agree. It looks so scary seeing the scale all over the neck ! I know position playing can box you in but then we can break out (hopefully).

I use FretBoard on my iPad, every single day. (on the QT: I'm working on a grimoire...)

My grimoire will give playable 4-note selections of many different chords, one hand at a time.

Also, there will be five-note groupings where possible.

I'll include scales that will go with these chords, and some exercises: "excursions" - different voicings of chords up the neck; chord progressions; and in a later volume, two-handed chord voicings.

It'll be released as a book, and in a perfect world, some kind of iPad-based app.

Hey Marc.
I use this app as well and like what Don said about not showing all the notes on the board pertaining to chords and scales. Another thing Id like to see is a chord naming convention and the display of those notes in a particular chord......for instance, I want to cover some Beatles tune but dont quite know how to play that Gm7 chord.....if I type in "Gm7" it would be nice to see that chord shape populate on the Stick app.....be good for newbs I think.

Anyways, I like your app and look forward to your improvements!

cheers,
kev

Kev,
I spotted this when I first came on to stickist. I think it was 'carvingcode' who posted it, and it has been immensely helpful when I want to see different chord structures.

After some quiet year in the field of software programming, we are back again with an all new FretBoard v2.0 for any iOS device!
We are currently in beta, and for the next round I would love to have some Stickists in the team. We should have all Stick tunings in the database, but with v2.0 you can not edit and customize any tuning and save as many versions you want. ;-)

So if you have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPad pro/air/whatever) running iOS 9 or later please send me a note via PM or by email when you are willing to participate. I need about 5 more testers.

If you just want to stay tuned about this app, please subscribe the facebook page at:

All the best,
Marc
