I really miss my palm. It had better contact/schedule management software than anything I can find for iPhone or Android.

Yeah, I downloaded Fretboard last week.
It made more sense once I unlocked the rotation to view it in landscape.

Looks useful, but being a beginner, I'll wait a while before diving into it.
Works well on my iPad too.

In F#, for instance, GbBbDb is not interchangeable with the tonic triad, though they may sound the same. The spelling indicates that the music has temporarily changed key--possibly to Cb, in which it is a V chord, or to Db, in which it is a IV. These chords have different functions from F#A#C#, to do with which harmonies might be expected to precede and follow them.

Learning arbitrary enharmonic substitutions will make it more difficult to read and analyze music. If you're going to spell chords, you might as well learn to do it right--otherwise, find an app that shows the notes as the colors of a Crayola 12-pack and paint little dots on your instrument.

Here's a question from someone who doesn't own an "I" device,

Is there any software that will run on a plain old windows PC that does the same thing? :?:
