Post The First Stick Stuff.....
I have posted two pieces on my Myspace page (the "mychapmansticks" Page) that I have done with my new Stick. They are just there long enough to let the other guys in the band hear what the Stick sounds like. I will take them down in a couple days. Have a listen. There a couple of new picture as well.

I wish I knew!!! ;) I still haven't gotten "the call" from SE so as far as I know it's not in production yet. When I ordered it last December (very early in the month) I was told "best guess" would be around 3 months. They build some NS Stick in between traditional Stick builds and apparently there aren't as many ordered as traditional Sticks so the "guessed" time line is shorter. Still ... waiting is truly the hardest part! I have my 10 string Stick, have been making slow but steady progress on it and use it for several tunes a night in my band but because of it's tuning and construction I KNOW the NS Stick will be a more logical instrument to take over the BASS PLAYER "PLUS" role in my band with. Then I can concentrate working on the traditional Stick for more solo music.

Someday maybe i'll even learn how to put my music on a myspace or youtube page! Right now using those programs are a mistery to me.

ANYWHO .... I'm still waiting for the call on my NS and you can bet your life when i get the call I'll let the forum know!!! :-)

Why take those songs down, they are great!!! Very Crimsonish, but different enough to be original. Now I better get off my ass and do some "proper" recordings of my new baby, it should sound just as good as yours! :)

It will get there and you will love it. Remember, 3 months is nothing compared to a year. I bought my NS used and the plan was to keep it until my Stick was ready and then sell the NS to pay for the Stick. That's not happening. It's such a wonderful instrument and your chops on your bass will serve you well on the NS. The thing that I am discovering about my Stick is that it is truely a different kind of instrument. I really feel like I am starting from scratch. The NS was so easy to find my way around. You are going to dig it!

Thanks EG,
I love KC, alot more than I should admit, so the fact that you picked up on the influence is appreciated. The songs are first drafts of ideas and need a lot of work. In fact, the more I listen to them the less I like them. I will develop them more fully and put them back up in whatever form they take. And please, lets hear yours. What did you get?

Thanks for the feed back guys!

True ... and this is the 3rd month since I ordered so I'm hoping to get "The call" soon. Of course there were no time line promises, just a "best guess." But I can still hope.

The traditional STICK is a totally different animal ... and i love it. However as a professional bass player I KNOW the NS Stick will be a quick and very comfortable fit for the role I play and the EXTENDED role I am trying to fill in my rock cover band. Once I get the NS I may leave my traditional Stick home and concentrate learning it more as a solo instrument. Then use the NS as my main instrument for both playing bass and two hand tapping. I've never even HELD an NS yet but hearing the work Don and Gary have done with it and seeing the videos I KNOW as a bass player / guitarist (who also plays Stick) that it'll click with me.

SOMEDAY ... I'll have to learn to use myspace and youtube so I can contribute some of my own music. Back to YOUR music ... I agree with Justin ... leave them on line for people to enjoy.

Hey Scott,

my new Stick is a Graphite Grand 10 with P-4, sounds very much like yours, but the spacing is wider. Loving it so far, it's fantastic!!!

Slowly getting my home-recording setup happening so I can pump out a few songs this year!
