Post DETAILING DETAILED DETAILS
It's a few years old. One of the things I did at the beginning of the pandemic.
Thinking of bringing something like this back in some form.
Hope it's still pretty informative and gives you some ideas to try.

I would change a few things for sure, have an updated approach on the thing.

Very informative and interesting even if the chances of me ever getting anywhere near that are zero. LOL!

Thank you.

Is the tuning you use across the 3 regions on Kubo described anywhere?

Ooooo. Thanks David for pointing that out! I should list that always.
Treble (melody/chords) 6 strings C# F# B E A D
Bass (fretless) 5 strings low F# low B E A D
Treble (chords) 4 strings G C F Bb

Thanks for checking it out! The ideas/concepts can be used for any instrument, please do give it a try~

All in ascending 4ths, or is the 3rd region descending 5ths?

Trying to add octave numbers (& if all ascending 4ths) I think that's

Treble (melody/chords) 6 strings C#2 F#2 B2 E3 A3 D4
[Same as Stick Classic 12 melody]

Bass (fretless) 5 strings F#1 B1 E2 A2 D3

Treble (chords) 4 strings G2 C3 F3 Bb3

Everything is inspirational - but may need adaptation... LOL!

All in ascending 4ths yes. I am a bass player and the 4ths have been smoothest for me to understand for my own playing. (Lots of my students are in 5ths, so I can get around that, too.)

I am not confident, but I think the Treble(s) are correct.
I think the Bass is one Oct. lower.

Bass (fretless) F#0(below low B) B0 (low B) E1 (same as a bass guitar) A1 D2 (ascending 4ths)

Thanks for pointing this out! I should get used to this and list it when needed from now on! Thank you David!

and yes, I will think on ways to present the adaptation aspect of it as well~

After a long series of experimental tuning steps I now seem to have found comfort in uncrossed parallel 4ths. My current tunings are in my sig. I think that arrangement is close to settled (though I am contemplating trying lowering the melody side a 4th).

Ah, yes. That makes perfect sense. Thank you.
