Tap In Time Episode 32 - Michael Kollwitz
Possibly the most prolific Stick recording artist that some Stickists may not be familiar with (20+ albums for starters), Michael Kollwitz joins us this time in the virtual studio. He's got some great gig and recording stories and insights, and he also shares with us about his forthcoming book, which sounds like it's going to be a great read. Enjoy! https://tapintime.podbean.com/e/32-stic ... -kollwitz/

Re: Tap In Time Episode 32 - Michael Kollwitz
OK just got to it. Somehow I knew this was going to need my undivided attention. (I was putting winter clothes away and hanging up my flowered shirts). Thank you Michael Kollwitz for giving us your time and insights on the Stick and Emmett Chapman. LISTEN TO THE PODCAST. I was laughing pretty soon into this, identifying with my introduction to the Stick. Calling Sam Ash in NYC and asking if they had one, and then jumping into my '67 Fairlane Station Wagon and high-tailing into Manhattan, having the salesman hand me the Stick, a cord, Free Hands, and saying, "Good Luck." Michael says get a Stick, and Stick With It. Now I have to order his book... Thanks Tap In Time Crew for getting this guy on your program!

I listened to this last week, but stuff happened & forgot to mention it. Excellent episode. Lots of interesting tales & details. I've just ordered the book...

My first introduction to the Stick was hearing Michael play in Lahaina, Maui. In the Banyan Tree Park. I bought his CDs. Later on, I acquired a Stick and Railboard. I've been playing them ever since that day.

Great episode. I didn’t realize Michael was such a great story teller as well as Stickist. And he played trumpet once upon a time that puts him up yet another notch for me. Very entertaining as always. Was shocked to hear my name briefly mentioned. Lol. Take care folks.
