Post More "LIFT" remixed. Track 4. Still Water
Hi everyone,

I've been revisiting one of my favorite recording projects. The 2000 release by the Greg Howard Band, Lift, was mixed quickly, and while I like the mix "ok", engineer Marco Faase wass truly heroic considering the demands IO put on him,I've always known there were elements in the performance that didn't quite come through.

Starting on Friday Feb 17, I will be releasing one remixed track per week on BandCamp, working my way through the album from start to finish.

I will be updating this thread as each new track becomes available.

Thanks for all the enthusiasm for this music over the years!

Hi everyone,

The first remixed track, "Dissent", is now available for listening and downloading on BandCamp.

Lots of fun solos and an infectious 5/4 groove. I hope you enjoy it. Next week... "Cross Country"

Definitely one of my fav tracks - reminds me of some of the Bill Bruford Earthworks work. Thanks for sharing Greg, this is such a goodie.

Thanks, Marty and Gene

Gene, Jan Wolfkamp is a huge Earthworks fan. No doubt he would appreciate the comparison.

Track number 2 "Cross Country" is now on BandCamp.

This one features guest wind player Louis Gerrits on tenor sax, and a driving 7/8 rhythm. For those of you with the Greg Howard Songbook, feel free to play along!

Listen for free online or download in various formats for a small fee. My gratitude to those of you who downloaded track 1. Next up "The Offering"
