I'm playing at an open mic event tonight, at a local restaurant. Gonna play my entire Youtube repertoire. Wish me luck.

Just got back from said open mic night. I played OK but was surprisingly distracted by little things, like people ordering a beer or waiters walking past me (I thought I was beyond that).

On the up side, the restaurant was very accommodating, comping my bar tab and giving me a $20 gift certificate for my four tunes. The manager even got staffers out of the kitchen so they could see me play.

Very cool Jeff! I'll be doing a similar thing in a month. Strange to be NEW on an instrument after playing professionally a whole life time isn't it?

So ... will you be going back anytime soon for another go at it?

I plan to go back frequently. Knowledge of upcoming public performance is a powerful motivator.
