Hi Jim,

I'm really going to miss being there. The Vancouver seminar is always a great event.
You've got a stellar teaching crew, too.

Mmmmmmm ... Vancouver in May!

Jim's seminars are always fantastic and the setting alone is usually worth the trip. Highly recommended.

Glen, are you saying that Vancouver in May would be nice or butt cold? I have been there
in july and that was great. I love Stanley Park. I guess May 23-25 is essentially June.
I am thinking about going. It's only 1600 miles :o and I need to buy Don a beer some sushi and a donut :)

Vancouver in May varies from spectacular to a bit cool and rainy. Click on "Gallery" at the seminar website:

The first pic is the group shot from May 2007. No guarantees, but when it's nice, well ..., it's REALLY nice!!

Hi Jim, I have a very strong intuitive pull for this one and I try when ever I can to follow
that. I have never flown with my Stick before and it's heavily modified. I don't think they would let me carry it on and I would be worried about checking it. They might think that it was, well you know,a bomb :o or something sneaky and start taking it apart :? Anything is possible of course even driving...
Any one in the bay area interested? Road trip!!!
Best.

Sounds like I should add you to the seminar list!

How modified is your Stick? As long as you didn't add some kind of body, it should fit on just about any plane. Do you have a soft case for it? Or hard case to check it with luggage? I'm not a fan of checking a Stick, but many have come to a seminar here and checked their Sticks. Only once was there a problem and it was safely delivered the next day.

If you are up for driving from the Bay area, I'd say it's more like 1000 miles. I'll let you know if I hear of anyone in your neighbourhood who wants to drive up. There are generally people from the Portland and Seattle areas coming up, so it may be possible to car pool from there, but that's only about the last third of your trip, right?

Cheers,

Jim

Anyone driving past Edison, NJ? I'll have hip#2 and should be 100% by then. :D

Hi Jim,
I added a Body :o. Pictures below.

As you can see it is a beast. (As big as a cello). I call it a "Semi-Acoustic DragonStick”.

I built it to find out if it would work and to get the idea out of my system.
 Don't laugh it works really well.

So for the past few months it's all I play. :ugeek:
I would love to bring it but it would be impractical for lots of reasons.
I have another Stick so I will just fly up with that. (Soft case).

Please put me on the list and I can get a deposit to you if you need it.
Best to you.
