http://productionadvice.co.uk/spotify-reduced-loudness/ This is more important than most people realise and I strongly suggest to all that are into recording to look into this. And make sure the mastering studios you use are updated on LUFS. http://www.tcelectronic.com/loudness/lo ... explained/ TC did a very important job when they created this standard and it has taken 5 years for radio stations, streaming services etc to implement it. Spotify was the last of the big ones to do so. The sound engineer society that I am a member of (SSES) has tried to make Spotify change their standard for a long time now and after a meeting a month ago they finally agreed to do so. |
