I credit Nick with turning me on to the Stick. Like anyone deciding on a major purchase such as a Stick, there were a lot of influences that guided me to take the plunge, from articles to performance videos by Bob, Greg, Steve, Emmett, Kevin, etc. However Nick Beggs was beginning of the decision, in the form of concert videos with Iona in which I saw a Stick for the first time, as well as the final straw that got me on the phone with Cambria, in the form of that studio session video that we've all seen. Awesome! I could be wrong, but I think his work with the Steven Wilson Band might be the highest profile Stick gig out there right now, at least until King Krimson starts touring again. Way to represent, Nick, you rock! |
