Post Tap Theory - February Performances
Hi everyone, I hope the shortest month of the year is going well for you all. We've been getting hammered with snow out in Boston but it's nowhere near as bad as it was a few years back. It does however leave me with plenty of time to work on Tap Theory. So, here's both of the performance pieces for this month, complete with tabs and a breakdown of each back at the Tap Theory hub (http://www.patreon.com/jgoldbergmusic).

First up is a quick study on accompanying yourself with your left hand.

The second is a short arrangement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony theme, meant for Stickists who are just getting started. I find that having both short term and long term goals are super important on an instrument, and a quick and easy arrangement like this makes for a great first short term goal.

I hope you like it!

Very enjoyable videos, Josh. I enjoyed your left hand accompaniment, particular as it was not the standard "Stick accompaniment" style that I see lots of people use--which is fine, just not as interesting as going beyond that limiting paradigm. Scott (Jayesskerr) and I talk about that left hand accompaniment style of Stick all the time offline, so it's great to see some good examples of different lefthand styles.

That second video looks really manageable and doable for a new starter. You make it look easy, while still sounding very full and developed. Thanks so much for sharing these videos with us! Best of luck with Tap Theory!
