Did you come across any products that will negate/replace/upgrade the VG99?

I have all kinds of gear that I have for the Stick, but I want to put together a rig with a much smaller footprint than what I currently have. Carting this stuff around is a big pain, and I am starting to get busier with the Stick...

VG99 is still the best. And Epifani amps are killer and not heavy.

But they don't make VG99's anymore... I am sort of terrified I am going to wreck mine if it leaves the house! So it stays in the Studio...

Looking into Epifani, I do need a new amp system too...

Four of my students recently found their VG99 on ebay.
And a few have purchased Epifani cabinets and amps.
All highly recommended.

I have one, I have used it a bit but I am a bit nervous taking it out of my home; kind of the same situation as my AxeFX. I am a bit paranoid about it going missing, or getting roughed up. What kind of protective case do you have for yours?

Also, do you ever use the strip, y'know wave your hand across it for pitch effects?

A quick note on Steve's performance.

I've seen you play, what 6 times now? This was the best EVER. It got REALLY quiet in room when you were playing. Even the huge retirement party there at Lefty's was captivated by your performance. Great song selections, tight arrangements and just beautiful and musical. Bravo.

I expect I will do some sort of recap this Friday, so much to share. Really a superb outing Stevo. Good job man.

Much appreciated Gene. Unprepared set but played some requests as well as demo some new techniques. Always fun. Glad you liked it. Thanks for organizing the event. Good work from prep to fruition. Congrats

Wow. With two input streams VG-99 certainly seems ideal for the Stick. do you have to have two divided pickups or can you plug in through the 1/4 jacks?

I have one gk3 pickup on all my Sticks. Bass goes out dry. Melody can go out of VG99 into one or two amps. Total 3 amps is a big sound. Most importantly the VG99 gives me multiple full simulated guitar sounds from Wes and Pat to Santana and Vai and much more
