Is there an airport nearby for small planes? I'd like to fly in rather than drive.

Yes, there's one in Traverse City. Glenn will know the details.

Search Interlochen's website, I remember they have shuttles to and from the airport.

The main Traverse City airport is Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) about 16 miles from Interlochen. Since I'm not a pilot I have no idea what that means for you if you're flying yourself.

Interlochen is in Grand Traverse County. There are around 50 airports/landing strips in the northwest of Michigan's lower peninsula. Green Lake Airport at 5541 Karlin Rd in Interlochen looks to be just two miles south of campus. I have no idea if you can refuel there.

You'd probably also need to look into transport. You might be able to call Interlochen and see about hooking up a ride. At that short a distance, one of your fellow students might be willing as well.
