Bob Culbertson / Emmett Chapman Seminar
Hi Stick friends, Here is a swell option to get to spend an afternoon with Bob Culbertson and his good friend Emmett Chapman! Truly a friendship forged in music and mastery! We'll spend the afternoon attending group / private instruction with Bob Culbertson and special guests Rick Allegria and Randall Graetch. After 4 hours of instruction, we'll be ready for plates full of tacos and delicious cold beverages, provided by our favorite local taqueira, Juanitos. We'll spend the rest of the evening listening to some of our favorite Stick players play live! Bob and Rick will be performing as their duet Cause and Effect. There will also be performances by Randy, Emmett and hopefully some of our attendees. $75 for the full package, $15 for just the evening. We are limited to 10 attendees at this time - hope you can make it!

Re: Bob Culbertson / Emmett Chapman Seminar
Wow...what level of playing ability should we bring, is this for an intermediate level player, or can a beginner like myself fit in without getting lost in the sauce?

Re: Bob Culbertson / Emmett Chapman Seminar
I get this question a lot. Anyone with any type of tapping instrument is welcome, all ages and all levels of experience. Bob and Emmett have been doing this for years, so they are used to working with varying levels of experience and ability. Anyone who has EVER been to an event as this knows that EVERYONE is very welcoming and ready to help or share their experience. It's getting Stick players to SHUT UP about the Stick that is difficult to do. There is no performance requirement. If you pay, you get to hang, eat, play music and learn - simple as that. Both Randy and Bob are coming all the way down from Northern California so 10 lucky Stickists are in for a great workshop. It's also a Saturday, so if anyone needs to stay the night, I can assist with finding accommodations.

Re: Bob Culbertson / Emmett Chapman Seminar
Thanks Gene, for organizing this special Stick event. I'm looking forward to teaching in the afternoon and playing solo and duo in the evening. I have my own novel way of teaching and demonstrating a "geographic" form of music theory as applied to the Stick fretboard. And in the evening, I'm sure we'll all spur each other on (no horse races, just the inspiration).

Re: Bob Culbertson / Emmett Chapman Seminar
Thanks Dean and Emmett. I have re-posted the PayPal link as Robin had mentioned she had some issues with it. Here is a link to the Register page for your convenience. http://freehandsacademy.com/register/$80 for PayPal or $75 by direct payment to the FHA. That includes the afternoon of learning, dinner (tacos - veggie and gluten free options available) and all the Stone Brewery beer you can imagine. Want to save $5? Please send me a PM and I will share my new address with you. This is another once in a lifetime opportunity to meet, learn and share the stage with some very wonderful people. Bob, Emmett and Randy have all personally expressed their excitement about the program and having Rick Allegria there will be the cherry on top! If you would like to perform, you can sign up to be a part of the evening. I am also in conversations with the Guitar Merchant to see if we can do some private lessons with Bob prior to the event, details to follow. ALL LEVELS of experience and performance are welcome. If you are a beginner, believe me, this is the place to be. You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about the instrument and committed to seeing you succeed. ALSO - this is a TAP workshop, so Megatars, Warr, Skeletones and 7, 8 and 9 string players that want to expand their skill set are welcome. We don't judge, but we do drink beer and eat tacos. And that's all included in the cost of admission yo. I know that Dorian, Robin and Dean are geared up to attend - which is really exciting. I got to see Dorian's new Stick the last time I was out at SE. Gorgeous. Hoping for a change to play it (muahahahaha!!!).
