Man, I don't know what it is about Stickist comments, but I treasure them invariably more than ANY comment I get on FB. Thank you very much for your kindness and comments, I read them over a few times as it refuels my love of playing music.

I am hoping to do more recording this summer but struggle with what to use for video / audio. I am just using a iPad to record video and audio. I will need to do some digging on a single solution for recording video and audio without breaking the bank.

Any value priced solutions welcome!

Gene, you should try out the Line6 SonicportVX. Sounds great, not too expensive. And designed for use with tablets, phones, or computers...

Gene, that was simply cool. Everything about it.
Love the hand/sonic interplay event at 1:22! Bravo, brother!
As far as recording solutions: you can get free or cheap basic versions of DAW's all over the place. All you need is a functioning USB interface. And if you don't have one, most interfaces will have a CD-ROM of the lite version of ProTools included.

Very sweet and inspiring. As for video and audio. If you are a Mac person iMovie does great work but for a couple hundred final cut for video is killer. I use my iPad as a camera all the time. Shots great footage without having to buy an expensive camera. And as for recording I'm a logic guy. Keep the videos coming especially if they groove like 47.

Thanks again all! I had used a Canon Rebel in the past, but that is not available these days. Tempted to just get in the game with a GoPro 4 Silver

I love using iMovie. Finally got the hang of it. DAWs are the next big step for me. That AND Logic.

All my videos of late have been done With a GO Pro, fun to use for other things as well.
I import the video into iMovie for finishing .
Audio is recorded to Logic. Logic by the way for the Money is a steal given what its capable of ( absolutely everything , but its pretty deep depending on what you want to do)
I strip the GoPro audio off the vision in iMovie and substitute the audio from Logic, much better than than camera mic. Just need a few tricks for sync. :ugeek:

The GO Pros are great cameras, but some people don't like the wide angle view and the distortion it causes near the edges. Just something to consider.

Very cool, Gene. Kind of a different angle for you, I like the approach in this vid.

Agreed with Russell on the go pro.
