Re: Rob Martino gigs
Good luck with your set at 3RP (and enjoy the rest of the show too)

Hi Eric, No problem, it's understandable (I'm not expecting many people even from around town to be there), hopefully we can meet up some other day- have a good conference! Thanks Ben! How did the MARPROG gig go?

Re: Rob Martino gigs
Our set was well received and we had a very fun time, so you can't ask for much more than that. Brett's group was awesome, and very tight considering the short time that the group has been together. Looking forward to their album (and your's for that matter).

Re: Rob Martino gigs
Thanks for asking... my set went OK, here is an excerpt of a newer composition I've been developing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU69MVCn9BMIt was pretty casual outside, with people coming and going while eating at tables nearby. Got some nice feedback from some people. But I have to say I was just blown away by the weekend as a whole. For the most part, it was non-stop music magic, highlighted by the appearance of Phideaux (a friend and also my favorite band of the decade). The other bands I was familiar with (IQ and Edensong) put on great performances as well, and those I wasn't (Syzygy, Singularity, Persephone's Dream, Glass Hammer) made a new fan of me. Just an incredible amount of musical creativity and talent on display, and a lot of camaraderie, in a nice venue. I'm not sure Howard Levy (the organizer) was even able to break even (there were a bunch of empty seats in the back) so I'm not sure how long it can continue, but I will be ever grateful for the event, it really was that wonderful. It was my first prog fest of any kind and it completely exceeded my expectations.

Re: Rob Martino gigs
I have a gig this Friday August 28 at KC's Music Alley in Fredericksburg VA. Looks like I'll be providing some "musical contrast" as the other bands that night will be thrash/death metal bands Day After Death, Twice Fallen, and Counterlution. Should be an experience!
Doors open at 8pm, $5 for 21+ and $8 under 21. I think I will be opening with a short set and do a bit longer one later in the evening.

Re: Rob Martino gigs
Another metal show tonight! Sorry for last second notice, but in the unlikely event someone is passing through Fredericksburg VA tonight (Sept 2) I'll be opening for the metal band Anu at Fatty J's. 9:30pm

Re: Rob Martino gigs
For anyone in the Fredericksburg VA area, I'll be opening for some bands at KC's Music Alley this Friday Nov. 27. Doors open at 8 pm, I'll probably go on around 9pm.

Re: Rob Martino gigs
I really like Rob's music and would love to see those gigs, but I'm just too far away.

Re: Rob Martino gigs
Hi Per,
Thanks... if I can figure out a way to do some gigs in Europe I'd love to travel over there!
