Re: Stick eye candy - new "Hot Shots" Gallery
Seems like each of the natural finish dark bamboo models is a slightly different color. While this definately adds to the charm of natural materials, I'm wondering if I can request just how dark I would like my new Stick to be? Nothing too specific or anal, just maybe ask SE to choose the darkest natural finish dark bamboo that they have available at the time of construction. My checkbook is gonna hate me. Maybe I should quit daydreaming and just practice on the pretty maple 10 string that I already own

Two New NS/Sticks are up in the top row of the Hotshots Gallery: both have ash bodies, one dyed golden and the other blue, with high-gloss finishes. And they both have laminated bamboo necks with 1/8" Rails precirison tapping frets. One is the standard dark bamboo, and the other is a dark brown dyed dark bamboo. Enjoy: http://www.stick.com/instruments/hotshots/

That dyed golden w the natural dark bamboo neck is really cool, something about the warmth of natural materials combined with the futuristic high tech look of an NS.

Beautiful! I'm wondering about those laminated bamboo necks - are they recommended for half fretless NS too? Or maybe it would be better to order a normal Grand or SG with one side fretless? It was the half fr-less NS that got me interested in the Stick but then I changed my mind and went with Grand first - and I must say I really enjoy the extra strings when thinking about the NS. Being a fretless guitar player I suffer daily from envisioning the total awesomeness of playing a half fretless Stick that I don't yet have

I'd suggest a Ten String Grand so that you could use some plucking. and two-handed bass on a half-fretless instrument in inverted 5ths is amazing (I tried Francesco's 1/4 fretless Grand once)

Stick eye candy - new "Hot Shots" Gallery
The " hot shots" gallery is downright dangerous. I've only had the Alto for a few weeks and already I'm thinking of a Tarara classic 10........

I need to contemplate for a while what tricks the right hand might play on that setup. Spontaneously I was thinking about fretless 5ths mirrored bass side an a normal 4ths "guitar sounding" melody side, as a wider span for solo concert application. Thank you for the advice!
