Bravo, Carlos! That's fun to see. Thanks for sharing, Greg! Bach can be tricky--I've known more than one pianist who encountered a mental slip and it really derailled them to the point they had to restart the piece. Greg, can I ask, has he used any cello method books in developing the left hand or ...

I recently picked up a used 10-string Railboard with MIDI from Reverb for a nice price. I found out from Grace what the original tuning was based on the serial number, but I'm not sure if that's what the current tuning is supposed to be since it's from 2017 and people sometimes experiment with diff...

I've always liked to think of each mode as defined by two key intervals. Lydian: #4 and Maj 7 Ionian: Maj 3 and Maj 7 Mixolydian: Maj 3 and dom7 Dorian: min3 and Maj 6 Aeolian: min 3 min 6 Phrygian: min 2 and min 6 Locrian: min 2 and b5 To my ear these are the defining points in relation to the root...

Originals that fit this mold include "Gratitude", "Blues for The Status Quo", "Black Dog Strut", "Boo's Blues", and "Sphere" (a TS Monk, inspired waltz). What doesn't fit the form is "Finding Home", still I could include it. After I finish...
