That digging in is gonna pay of when you're acclimated to the rapid progress yer making. Most of my personal, not disclosed here, "critiques" come in the form of the bass not being "bass" enough. I love the bass it's what brought me to the Stick and a way to play the melody/chord...

Probably because i grew up on Frank it reminds me of my favorite times of Waka/Jawaka & The Grand Wazoo also the band after that w/ Duke, Brock, Ruth, & Fowler bros. But yeah, i hear the best of Bruford's writing & Mahvishnu. As for Happy The Man, my prog buds were always opening my ears...
