Nice tune idea, great playing and I love that ECM-ish vibe! |

Where would I get a hold of some flats to put on a ns stick? When you need to look outside of SN there are several web shops for strings, where you can specify the set you need string for string. When doing this I often have to go with a set that combines strings from different manufacturers. Initi... |

Listened only to Swedish accordion music and..... Kiss. Wow, that is... eclectic. :-) For the record, before rock n roll the accordion was the instrument boys wanted to learn for impressing girls. Sweden had a successful accordion manufacturer that once, unsuccessfully, tried to expand the market i... |

- El. guitar in -69. Initially played the usual Hendrix/Sabbath/Purple/Zeppelin stuff but soon got more into making up my own music. - Traverse C-flute. - Tenor sax (tried alto and bariton for periods but repelled back to tenor). For periods I played professionally, mostly as a guitarist, with some ... |

Welcome to the Stick world! The instrument changed my life considerably nine years ago when I got a Grand and soon after that an SG-12. The SG-12 has evolved into my main gigging instrument for church solo concerts, and more. But now I want a Railboard-12! BTW, I too use an AxeFx-II and I'm totally ... |

For any rig I might use the first fix I do is to cut out the sub-bass frequencies from what is sent out by the melody side pickups. This helps a lot. It makes lead lines float smoothly over bass and chords, even with distorted sound applied to the melody output. |

I used my Grand for the bass lines in this track. Played with the bass side through a limiter and totally loved the bass sound I got with the two pups in parallel |

I think you should try out as many as possible and pick the one that talks to your heart. I mean, every instrument has its own tone and you never know until you play it. I own three sticks but my bamboo SG12 sounds so much better than the others that I actually only use this one. The others are for ... |

Great post! I'm a long-time subscriber to Callum's YouTube channel So cool how he mixes overtone flageolets with chords and melodies while keeping a steady "snare drum" bumping. |
