Band in a box, or perhaps any Daw...? Logic Pro X has an awesome arpeggiator, or you could just step record the notes. Might need some basic theory/harmony though...

So other than the cramps you had from playing mirrored 4ths, what differences do you notice between 4ths and 5ths for the bass side? Just my opinions; In 4ths, 3 note per string scales as opposed to usually 4 note per string scales. Once tuned to mirrored 4ths, I could really leverage previous guit...

The more I dig in, the more I realize how the "5ths" side is the key... Get acclimated to moving, and the rest pretty much falls in place. The Melody side you can kind of "get away" with position playing, but the holes get exposed on the bass side... It really is the little things!
