I went to a website that talked about how to memorize dance steps since I couldn't find what I was looking for on a music webisite. It said first memorize the direction that you're supposed to travel, then how many steps, before learning which steps they actually are. Attached are the directions for...

Wow. That was fun. I like the part where are the horns are avoiding consonance and the writhing bassist and guitarist at the end.

The Scott Kerr website's SoundCloud files and your YouTube page show you have put in the time to study both the guitar and the Stick quite well. You don't look like a lazy Lucy at all.

Holy Hell!!! That's amazing. Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earing is considered the Dutch Mona Lisa and is my favorite painting before the post-postmodern era by far. That's some cool assed shit man. Thanks.

If someone was an aspiring painter or rock guitarist, one thing they might do is go to Youtube and look up free instructional videos. If they didn't, no one would take them very seriously about an intent to learn how to paint or play rock and there are many people like that. If they don't have any p...

Hi Werkspace, your link doesn't work but a Google search produced that mto stands for Music Theory Online. I could be wrong but that's not really the kind of place that would be affirming what I've been talking about here. That would more likely have to be a link to modernist music like 12 tone etc....

In my tune Romantic Notions, the solo just avoids notes that were played fairly recently. It would be random except its following that rule, so maybe the mind picks up on the fact there's SOME kind of logic to it. It's quite an effective solo if you ask me. It starts somewhere around 5:1O or 5:45 I ...

On the graph there are two examples of 3-note-per-string pentatonics. The ones with asterisks in their upper left hand corners are the ones rock guitarists use in the guitar tuning. The rest are my ideas for symmetrical fingerings that could be used on the Chapman Stick. Also, I forgot to mention be...

Another reason why it could be O.K. to ignore the chords along with their thirds and sevenths is that if an indeterminate 5 note quartal or non-3rd chord is playing, [or a power chord] there's no indication which of the notes in the chord is the third and sometimes which kind of third, especially if...
